CDR has a number of job opportunities for design engineers working in product design and development, CAE, Pumps and Electronics design.

 

Training & Development

Training and development are very much a part of CDR. Training on Solidworks, Hydraulics, Project Management and Materials are examples of ongoing training programs. This has resulted in client appreciation and in the case of Solidworks, the       certification of 39 engineers of the CDR in the CSWP examinations, which makes it the highest number of such certified professionals in any company in India.

Working environment

CDR has a state-of-the-art office infrastructure with high end workstations and facilities. It has a fairly young population of employees with about 80% of engineers below 30 years of age. CDR has an open yet pragmatic style of working whereby project engineers are themselves made responsible for their projects and are given equal opportunities to interact directly with their overseas clients. We also promote our engineers to visit our inter-Pentair clients (in US, Europe , ROW), for onsite training and project execution which helps in the development of employees and boosts better client-employee relationships.

The hierarchy structure is also fairly flat fostering better employee relations and promoting team working.

Growth prospects

CDR has grown from 19 engineers in 2004 to 110 engineers by Q2, 2006. The rapid growth of CDR has been through excellence in Engineering (R&D) facilitating both organic and inorganic growth initiatives of Pentair Water. CDR focuses on inorganic growth; all engineers are made to work on the entire product design life cycle so as to provide them the opportunity to learn the processes completely.

To keep pace with the fast growth of CDR, it has recently expanded its office space.

Project Engineers - CAD

Location :

Job role :
Generation of solid models and manufacturing drawings of the components and assemblies, part detailing, re-engineering, coordination with local vendors for outsourcing work, handling off-shore customers' inquiries and technical communication.

Essential qualification :
Graduate with specialization in Mechanical Engg. / Product Design & Dev, with min. 2 years working experience in CAD/Product Design field using preferably Solid Works. Good knowledge of manufacturing practices and GD&T is essential.
